Role and Responsibilities
As a senior analyst in TBR’s Computing Practice, Ken leads mobility-focused research, including mobile devices and mobile device usage for the practice. His analysis and advisory services focus on smartphones, tablets, mobile and emerging devices, mobile computing, mobile device chipsets, modules and components, enterprise device adoption, mobile device management, and machine-to-machine communications for both syndicated and custom projects.
Experience and Background
Prior to joining TBR in 2007, Ken was a principal analyst at Allied Business Research (ABI), where he designed and launched the Mobile Content Research service that focuses on leading technology and service products in the wireless market, including mobile television and video, music services, location-based technology, social communities, and on- and off-portal content developers. Prior to ABI, he was a senior analyst at In-Stat from 1998 through 2004, where he conducted consumer and enterprise end-user research on the mobile market.
Ken is a well-known commentator on the wireless industry and is a frequent source for newspapers, business publications and wireless trade journals, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, International Herald Tribune, USA Today, Chicago Tribune, LA Times, Business Week, Fortune, FierceWireless, eWEEK and Wireless Week. He has provided on-camera and radio interviews for CNET, NPR, TV Tokyo and New England Cable News.
Ken obtained an M.A. in International Relations from Northeastern University and graduated from the University of North Carolina, Asheville, with a B.A. in Political Science.
