Michael Sullivan-Trainor is practice leader for Telecom Infrastructure Services (TIS) within TBR’s Networking & Mobility Practice. As such he is responsible for TBR’s annual TIS Addressable Market Forecast, covering all major geographic regions and services segments, and Telecom Infrastructure Services Benchmark, covering more than 20 suppliers, as well as tracking services spending and revenue trends and conducting in-depth custom studies. His focus areas include services pricing, policies, strategy, delivery and sales capabilities as well as business analysis, such as line of business share, labor rates and profitability.

Michael has been with TBR since 2006, providing comprehensive analysis of Alcatel-Lucent, Ericsson, Huawei, Motorola, NEC, Nokia Siemens Networks and ZTE. He covers the telecom business sectors of Accenture, Capgemini, Cisco, HP, IBM, Microsoft and Oracle. In addition Michael focuses on the telecom services aspects of Agilent, Amdocs, Ciena, Convergys, CSG, Fujitsu, Juniper, Logica, SAP Sybase, Tech Mahindra, Telcordia and Wipro.

Previous Experience and Background
Michael has written extensively about the telecom industry and has conducted numerous consulting projects in the areas of telecom infrastructure services market opportunity modeling and business model assessment as well as supplier revenue and profitability analysis. He has authored two books: Detour: The Truth about the Information Superhighway and Webmaster Strategies.

Prior to joining TBR, Michael was a director of market strategy for Ericsson for four years and vice president of Internet Research at International Data Corp. for four years. He has an MBA from Boston University.
