Technology Business Research (TBR), a leading Computer/IT Market research and publishing firm, is looking for individuals with IT, telecommunications, professional services, financial industry and/or market research experience to fill a research analyst position in its syndicated research organization. Vendor coverage for this analyst positions includes a designated set of account from the Top 100 IT, telecommunications or professional services vendors, including leading firms such as: Cisco, Nokia, Ericsson, IBM, Hewlett Packard, Dell, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Accenture, EDS or CSC.

Description: The research analyst will be responsible for qualitative and quantitative analysis of high-tech IT, telecommunications or professional services vendor companies on an ongoing basis. This position will involve working with, growing and learning under the guidance of a TBR senior analyst. The final products are written analytical reports for each company covered. The individual will also learn to be responsible for developing working relationships with the press, computer vendor executives, directors, PR staff and key personnel in our client base, many of which are Fortune 500 corporations. These close relationships are the key to differentiation in the IT industry and to the generation of IT, telecommunications or professional services project work.

• Ability to operate with high learning curve and autonomous culture
• The successful candidate must have qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
• Excellent listening, writing, mathematical and oral communication skills, including experience developing effective executive reports and presentations
• The ability to discern and analyze the critical elements of large sets of information
• The ability to communicate this analysis to clients in verbal, written, and/or spreadsheet formats
• Demonstrates persistence, tenacity, ability to overcome obstacles, and strives to improve skills and achieve goals
• Must be able to think on their feet and work in a fast paced environment
• Able to understand business implications with a grasp of market economics/dynamics to deliver vendor predictions and analyses
• The ability to work within the team structure. This requires the ability to learn from those around you as well as the ability to share experiences
